Phickle Phrench
Peugeot threw cold water on the story passed on from Germany a week ago – the expectation Peugeot’s ALMS program would be greater than a token Sebring entry. Interestingly, even before that note came to the Bear, the paddock widely expected both two cars at Sebring and a Petit Le Mans entry from the French. Murphy’s not so sure that was so much wrong as reflective of changing plans. Might PLM still be added at some time? It would seem sensible with Shanghai on the schedule? Did the Bear say sensible? Silly.
Do you suppose there’s been a sigh of relief in Ingolstadt, though? If Peugeot had decided on a bigger ALMS presence, then Audi might have had to rethink the single-car ALMS plan. The single car thing is another story that Murphy hopes turns out to be wrong. (more…)
